Daffs in Containers
Many bulbs do well in containers, providing extra versatility and flexibility in rolling out your spring display. However there are some cavaets, and extra babysitting is needed to ensure success. Please do NOT attempt to container garden if you are new to gardening or new to gardening with bulbs. Take it easy this year.
In milder climates, zone 7, it is rather easy to keep the containers cool and watered until you move them out onto the patio and garden in the spring. In colder climates you need to protect the containers from freezing through and killing the bulbs during their 12 weeks of dormancy.
