When you first encounter Sunnyside Up, it takes a minute to figure out what you're looking at. The leaves say "daffodil," but the curls and ruffles where you expect to find a cup say "Victoria's Secret" or maybe "Shirley Temple." Whatever association pops into your head, Sunnyside Up is indeed a daffodil, and a very fine example of the state of the art in split-corona breeding. The pale yellow ruffles change to cream as the blooms mature.
